3D scanner?

I see bunch or 3D scanners hitting the market lately. Anyone have any experience with one of them?

A while back I did the XBox Kinect hacked version with pretty great results but it is definitely not user friendly :)

InMoov 3D printed robot

In case you haven't already heard of it- some time ago I stumbled upon a free open source DIY 3D printed humanoid project. I ended up printing one hand/arm on my Solidoodle 2 printer with fantastic results. The files are simply amazing. Gael made all the parts available for anyone who wishes to repr...

Cheers

3D Printing from Google Sketchup

One of the things I had tonnes of trouble with early on with my Solidoodle 2 3D printer was actually taking a 3D file (.stl) through from creation to printing on the 3D printer. Made this video a long time ago to help others with the task. New vid is in the pipeline for production :) http://www.yout...

Receiving NOAA Weather Satellite Images

I've been having some great success decoding the NOAA weather satellite images using WXtoIMG lately. I thought I would share a bit of a tutorial. Part one can be found below. Anyone else been grabbing data right from satellites?

Sensitive Baro sensor?

Hey Guys- I'm looking to do an uber-sensitive barometric pressure monitor. Basically I need it to monitor chimney pressure (so a very small pressure difference from atmosphere). Has anyone seen a sensor which is more suited to only a small difference from reference/atmosphere? An odd project I know ...

I took a few minutes and made this video on recording audio directly on a PC with Audacity. This works equally well with any radio (not just SDR) so you can you voice activation to record the audio as an MP3 file. Quick, easy and free. Cheers

Raspberry Pi at Maker Faire

Video from Maker Faire 2013. Pretty cool overview of the Pi's functionality. I really need to play with it more instead of always sticking with my familiar Arduino.
